I love going to the movies. How many times have you asked a friend how they liked a movie and their answer convinces you to go see it? Do you wind up disappointed? Hopefully I can provide some insight to help you decide if its worth taking a trip to the theater. If you've seen these movies and want to add your own comments then email me. I'll throw your 2 cents in.

Movie

The Pirates of the Caribbean: I've always liked pirate movies. I think I must have been a pirate in another life. I didn't expect this movie to have anything to do with the Disney ride, and it really doesn't. But let me tell you.. this is a long journey. The movie runs close to 2 hours. If it wasn't so long I would say this is a solid movie worth seeing. At least you are getting your moneys worth. Good story, good acting and great action scenes. Check it out at a matinee.

The Matrix 2: Reloaded: I must have seen the first Matrix at least ten times and it is definitely one of the best movies EVER !!!! I have to say I was disappointed with this one.. Yes, there were some great scenes, great special effects, and even more intrigue to the complexity of the story BUT, leaving the audience hanging for a Part 3 sequel killed this movie. Why dilute the integrity of a good movie by stretching out sequels to earn more dollars. Lord of the Rings.... yes. The Matrix ......no. Aghhh. This movie would have been great and could have ended properly and appropriately, but NO they have to hold us upside down by the ankles and shake the money out of pockets for another sequel Ironically, I know I am going to see Part 3 and I hate myself for that. I am a sucker.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines: Thank you Gods of the Summer movies for satisfying my appetite. T3 was just as entertaining as the 1 and 2. This one was probably the funniest of them all. Claire Daines is by far the best actor in the movie. Even though the movie ends and the audience knows there is the potential for more sequels, we get a sense of getting our money's worth. I haven't seen Arnold's last few movies and I heard they were bombs. But T3 is Arnold's redemption. Who doesn't love Arnold?

The Italian Job: From start to finish, this movie has you locked in. I didn't go running to the theaters to see this movie. I waited until the end of July and by that time the only other movie left that I hadn't seen and almost chose was "Finding Nemo." (We'll see it Gladys, I promise.) Gold, thieves, safe crackin', chases, Venice, LA, Betrayal... if you like these keywords then you'll more than like this movie. The story is better than the acting, but you won't care about that. Go see it.

Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd: Here yee, Here yee. Attention. Beware!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. If these warnings are not enough and you go and see this movie anyway, you are dumber than dumberer. I was hoping this would be close in comic hilarity as the first one. I was happy just to be in an air conditioned building with my girlfriend and in reality we should have walked out Very rarely will I walk out of a movie, this one was a close call. Who read this script and decided to make this movie? Maybe I should change jobs.
